Information provided in enquiries
Global Digital Identity Ltd receives and initially manages enquiry data as site operator. It may share the information with Global Digital Identity LLC, as domain owner, and with professional advisers and service providers only as necessary to assess, structure, document or complete a possible transaction, protect the process or meet legal obligations. Each entity is responsible for the processing purposes and means it determines.
Global Digital Identity Ltd is the controller of personal data received in enquiries. Its company and contact details are set out above. Enquiries are handled by the company.
We use your name, email address, organisation, current activity or planned business, role, country and message to assess and respond to your enquiry. Identification fields and the declaration of business or professional purpose are required for acquisition enquiries; organisation, role and country are optional for general enquiries. For offers and payment proposals, we also process the amounts, currency, conditions and payment schedule you submit. Do not include sensitive personal information.
If you are an individual asking about acquisition for your own business or profession, we use the contact details and proposal information needed to take the pre-contractual steps you request (UK GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).
For enquiries made on behalf of an organisation and for general enquiries, we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): responding to your requested contact, assessing proposals and conducting the private sale negotiation. We use your contact details, professional context and relevant correspondence for these purposes.
We also rely on legitimate interests to record the declared professional purpose and retain relevant negotiation correspondence: documenting the context of the enquiry, managing reasonable follow-up and protecting legal rights where necessary. The retention limits below apply; they do not justify keeping unnecessary information.
To handle privacy requests and complaints, we use your contact details, the request and any information necessary to verify and answer it. The basis is compliance with applicable data protection obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
Personal data may be handled by authorised personnel and service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery and receipt, and technical support, for those purposes.
Personal data relating to acquisition enquiries and proposals that do not result in a transaction is normally retained for 24 months from the last substantive contact about that enquiry or proposal. At the end of that period, it must be deleted or anonymised.
Additional retention requires a specific, documented reason, such as an active negotiation, a legal or regulatory obligation, fraud prevention or investigation, a dispute or complaint, or a concrete need to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Records must be reviewed at least annually, including before the 24-month period ends when information is no longer needed for a legitimate purpose. Personal data must not remain identifiable longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
This standard period does not automatically apply to completed transactions, contracts, tax records or other records subject to their own legal retention requirements.
Other general correspondence must be kept only as needed to answer and follow up on the enquiry. Privacy-request and complaint records must be limited to what is necessary to handle the matter, demonstrate compliance or address a specific dispute. Technical records must be limited to operational and security needs, taking account of any active incident. These categories do not automatically inherit the 24-month period.
We may use service providers to support certain operations. Where processing involves an international transfer subject to applicable data protection rules, we will adopt the legal mechanism and safeguards appropriate to that transfer. Information about applicable transfers and safeguards can be requested at contact@com.food.
Depending on the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability of your personal data.
You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to the applicable legal conditions.
For privacy questions or complaints, email contact@com.food. You may also complain to the ICO, the UK data protection regulator.
You are not legally required to submit an enquiry. Without the required contact details and relevant context, we cannot process the form or may be unable to assess or answer your request. Optional fields are not required for a reply. Acquisition enquiries also require confirmation of professional or business purpose.
The form performs technical validation and anti-abuse checks. It does not profile applicants or make automated decisions to accept proposals or conclude a sale. Acquisition decisions are reviewed by the company.
The form does not save your message in browser storage. Links to external sources lead to websites with their own policies.
Terms
The proposed acquisition concerns the domain name com.food and the ability to manage subdomains under it, subject to the applicable registration rules. It does not include the .food top-level domain, its registry or authority delegated by ICANN.
Websites, source code, images, content, data, software, trademarks and other materials are included only if expressly identified in the definitive acquisition agreement and the seller has the necessary rights to transfer them. Illustrative services are not an operating business included in the sale.
After completion, the buyer is responsible for domain renewal and any registrar, hosting and operating costs, as allocated in the agreement. The current renewal fee, renewal date and any transfer or service fees must be checked with the registrar and confirmed before signing. The acquisition price is not a lifetime renewal payment.
Before any payment or transfer, the parties must verify domain ownership, the authority of their representatives and the applicable registration and transfer requirements, and agree in writing on price, currency, fees, payment, transfer and completion conditions. Independent escrow may be considered by agreement; no provider is appointed by this website. For instalments, the agreement must define who holds and controls the domain during payment and when it transfers. These website terms do not replace the definitive acquisition agreement.
.com.food is owned by Global Digital Identity LLC, Delaware file number 10809905. Global Digital Identity Ltd, company number 16339013, operates this website and manages enquiries. They are separate legal entities; neither may bind the other unless expressly authorised in writing.
The LLC’s role as domain owner and any obligations concerning title or transfer are governed only by definitive transaction documents. The Ltd’s role is limited to website operation, enquiry handling and transaction support; it does not independently promise a sale or transfer. Registries, registrars, escrow providers and other third parties remain responsible for their own services. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
.com.food is offered as a strategic digital asset exclusively to start, develop or expand a business, commercial or professional activity. Individuals and organisations may enquire, including those planning a new business in this sector. It is not offered for personal consumer purchase.
We will review the intended use and the capacity in which the prospective buyer is acting before concluding any acquisition agreement. General enquiries do not replace this review.
A purpose declaration records the stated intention; it does not determine legal status or waive rights. Each transaction remains subject to applicable law and any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Submitting an enquiry does not reserve the domain or create an obligation to conclude a transaction. Receipt of an enquiry is not acceptance of an offer.
No guarantee is made about search rankings, AI inclusion, traffic, revenue or the success of a future project. A domain provides an identity; the development and operation of a business require separate work and investment.
Email is available at contact@com.food. If online sending is unavailable, the form will tell you and will not claim that your enquiry was sent.
